Resistance to change is defined as the reluctance to embrace the altered circumstances. Resistance to change can be very disruptive to the organization.It can scatter plans to transform different processes to enhance quality services. Resistance to change is common in healthcare systems because employees are healthcare professionals often feel intense pressure characterized by the increased demands which require constant learning and training (Liao & Ai Lin, 2018). Furthermore, different stakeholder groups may resist change as a result of the increased tasks and responsibilities that they need to perform. Different stakeholders may also become uncomfortable with the changes introduced and create resistance, sometimes unknowingly, through their behaviors, actions, and conversations.
