The Practicum Goals

The following goals have been formulated:

1. To acquire collaborative skills that in the clinical environment, which can enhance patient assessment skills in the clinical setting
2. To be able to perform accurate and comprehensive patient assessments by the end of the practicum

• To be able to offer appropriate care to a diverse patient population by the end of the experience

1. To be able to apply evidence-based instructional methods in teaching patients for effective learning within the first two weeks of the practicum
2. To use evidence-based assessment strategies to assess the magnitude of patient learning.

Proposed Schedule to Meet the Goals

It is important to formulate a schedule that can be used to meet the goals. As such, as part of the plan, the experience will take 8.5 hours every week on Fridays, from 8.30-17.00 am, for four weeks. The next two weeks will take eight hours per week, taking place from 9.00-17.00. The six weeks of experience will amount to a total of fifty hours.

Description of Challenges Expected

Practicum experience usually comes with challenges; therefore, it is important to list the potential challenges. One of the challenges is a challenge of time management. I will solve the problem by creating a timetable (Liang et al.,2019). The other potential challenge is creating a balance between work, practicum activities, and social life. I will solve this by seeking the help of my mentor.

Conclusion

A total of five practicum goals have been formulated to guide this practicum experience. The goals will be accomplished through various activities. The practicum experience is to take a total of fifty hours.
