As a healthcare expert, the examination of the course objectives has provided valuable insight into areas where my prior knowledge lies. Specifically, I have identified two key areas – topic 2 and topic 3 objectives. In my earlier experience as a nurse researcher, I have been involved in the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to support research projects. This experience has provided me with a thorough understanding of the role of advanced registered nursing in evidence-based practice. Furthermore, my familiarity with the development of nursing frameworks and evidence-based practices has equipped me with the ability to apply the change model framework to evidence-based practice project proposals (McNett et al., 2021). Overall, the course objectives have highlighted the potential to build upon existing knowledge and continue to develop expertise in these areas.

Weekly Objectives I Have No Prior Knowledge Of

I have discovered as I look over the course objectives that topics 4 and 6 are areas in which I am lacking background knowledge. In particular, I lack the necessary knowledge to choose the best study design for the evidence-based practice proposals. Also, I do not have a thorough comprehension of the statistical tests that must be used in order to implement the evidence-based practice approaches. The assessment strategy for the evidence-based approach and how to identify gaps in the literature based on the findings are topics I have yet to fully grasp. I am excited to learn and I am certain that the course will provide me the skills and resources I need to increase my expertise in these areas despite my knowledge gaps.

Course-Related Topics I Would Like to Discuss with My Instructor and Classmates

As I start this course, I am curious to discussing about topics involving the use of statistics in nursing research or evidence-based practice. I want to look at how statistical analysis can be used to healthcare data to find trends and patterns and how this knowledge can be applied to better patient outcomes. In addition, I’d want to know how various statistical techniques are used in nursing research or evidence-based practice, as well as how to choose the best statistical test for a certain research issue. One of my primary concerns regarding this course is whether or not an extensive strategy would be used to improve knowledge of the many facets of each topic being studied.
