Implementation of EBP is one of the most important aspects of the EBP cycle. It is important to explore potential issues that can impact the implementation of the project. One such is the lack of motivation by the nursing staff. The use of the proposed CAUTI bundle would require adequate training and change of operations by the nurses. Therefore, they may look at the new intervention as an additional workload (Mathieson et al.,2019). However, they will be supported to ensure that they don’t resist the proposed change but embrace it. The other potential issue is a lack of support by individuals not ready for the change effort, especially the staff and leaders who indicated that they are not ready for change.

It will be important to create and sustain a higher level of readiness to change. Therefore, it will be key to use various strategies. One strategy is consistent training and education regarding the use of the new CAUTI bundle to help control CAUTI rates. Education and training will offer the staff a chance to be updated on the new aspects and continue following the laid down protocols or guidelines (Kilbourne et al.,2019).

Research and literature will be used to ensure that the change is based on the current evidence. A comprehensive literature review will be carried out to help reveal the existing strategies which are being used in controlling CAUTI. This will ensure that the best and the most current evidence is used or applied. The current research will also be used by reviewing the current data on the rates of CAUTI and how the current research helps in reducing such rates. This will also ensure that the most effective aspect, which has been predicted to be the use of bundle care, will be used in patient care (Grove & Gray, 2018).
