The proposed plan in this case is to ensure that the facility integrates an interdisciplinary approach to improving patient safety culture in nursing department (Duffy et al., 2020). The desired outcome is the promotion of patient quality of care through the implementation of a safety culture. The collaboration of the team will be critical in the success of this project because it will consist of different professionals. The project manager will set out the requirements and meet the set timelines based on their roles. The nurse leader and manager will develop best practices’ policy statement to be adopted by all nurses and other professionals in the organization. The nurses will implement these new guidelines and best practices to ensure that the organization has a better safety culture that adheres to the set proposals (Duffy et al., 2020). The team will have a central reporting and information center that shall provide daily, weekly, and final reports on the implementation of the new safety measures and policy.

Collaboration will be essential as it means that the team will have a common approach to a safety culture so that it derives benefits from such framework (Rosenbaum et al., 2018). The project manager and the nurse leaders will identify roles and responsibilities for each team member and those charged with these obligations deliver them effectively. They should also delegate some of the duties to certain members with expertise to increase the chances of better delivery (Sigmon, 2020). Delegation as a strategy promotes teamwork and facilitates the attainment of the identified goals.

Required Organizational Resources

Successful implementation of this project will require sufficient organizational resources, especially funding through financial resources and expertise. The human resource from the organization will be key to attainment of this project, especially nurse leaders who shall train the rest and model best practices. The nurse leaders and nurse managers will also develop the policy based on best practices and ensure that all people in the organization adhere to them (Rahmayanti et al., 2020). The interdisciplinary team will comprise of representatives from all departments but be led by nurse manager and nurse leader.

The team will also require funds to facilitate all changes and development of the safety culture policy and training of nurses. These activities will require an estimated $25,000 for three months. The training will cost $7,000, while the development of best practice guidelines will require $3,500. The monitoring of the implementation and generating reports at periodical levels will require $4,500 for three months.
